Her name derives from a combination of her parents' heritages:

Moxie le Turn, mother; and daughter of Victoire le Turn and Bustleforth, two ponies that served in the royal armed forces, notably during the Griffin wars and the Vanhoover Rebellion. She honored her parents by naming her daughter after their conventions rather than her husband's. Her own name comes from a phrase her father delightedly picked up from a pony in Manehatten. Was unenchanted by violence, went to work in medicine.

Tersetense, father; son of Sterntense and great-grandson of Hoartense and Serious Face. An often bedraggled and ill lawyer.
